As I walked by the boys' room this morning I heard a loud "Ow!" followed by peals of laughter. I stuck my head in and found the 6-year-old laughing hysterically. The 5-year-old was rubbing his head, laughing and grimacing at the same time.
"What's the matter?" I asked the injured kid.
"Nothing," he said, with a laugh. He was still holding his head with both hands.
"Well what are you guys doing?" I asked.
Youngest smiled proudly. "We're playing a game called Hit the Nail on the Head. And I'm the nail!"
I walked out scratching my head, while both boys continued their fun. I don't remember playing games like that when I was a kid. Must be a boy thing.
