Mama's Cooking

Last night the kids were splashing in the kiddie pool, while Mike watered my herb beds. I was inside at the stove, stirring up supper ~  pork chops with garden fresh potatoes, onions and garlic. The homemade wheat bread was almost ready to come out of the oven.

I looked up when I heard my 10-year-old slip in through the front door. She was trying not to drip. 

"Mmmmmmmm!" she said, sniffing the air. "Supper smells so good! They should make a candle of that! They could call it Mama's Cooking!"

No wonder I love cooking for this crew. Isn't that just the best compliment ever?
